top priorities. A culture of tradition,spiritual messages,ancient artwork and architectural styles are symbolic to this place.
Opened on 6th November 2005, the temple was Constructed by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan sanstha or BAPS & it is built from intricately carved sandstone and marble.Temple has exhibitions on Hinduism & god Swaminarayan’s life & his teachings. Open gardens,water bodies,courtyard etc. add additional beauty to this temple.
1)WELCOME GATES – Swagatham or welcome-as the gates depicts, followed by Bhakti Dwar.There is a visitor centre where volunteers help you to
plan your journey through various means.
2)MANDIR – Pink stones & white marble carved mandir will simply instruct your eyelids to glare and feel the eternal beauty. Offer prayers at GARBAGRUH, walk outside through the NARAYAN PEETH. On the outside walls of ground floors experience elephants and their stories depicted as GAJENDRA PEETH.
3)ABHISHEK MANDAP – It is believed that mere participation in the aarti and prayers in Abhishek Mandap will take away your problems.There is a custom
of offering holy water to Neelkanth who is the teenage yogi form of god Swaminarayan.
4)Film on Neelkanth yatra – Do not forget to watch film on Neelkanth-the childhood yogi.
5)Water Shows – Performed with the help of multicolour laser,underwater flames,video projects,water jets.The sahaj aanand water show as it is known presents a story from kena upnishad.
6)Sahjanand Pradarshan – Hall of values-is an audio animations show which conveys meaning of true wisdom & teaches to practise life with non-violence.
7)Boat Ride – Sanskruti Vihar – Never miss boat ride when you are in Akshardhaam,almost a 12 minute ride,this will be a boat ride you will never forget in your lifetime. This will take through Takshila-world oldest university to Vedic period & will also showcase an eye surgery happening. Timings-10am to 8pm.
8)Musical fountains – The temple also provides you with an opportunity to watch musical fountain show which showcases the life cycle that is cycle of birth life and death as taught by Indian philosophy.
9)Gardens – Thematic gardens is will simply be an inspiring lesson for you as it features inspiring children,men and women from Indian history. Statues of Shrawan Kumar & others will also teaches you your duty and imbibes bravery in you.
10)Lotus Garden – Beside the Bharat Upvan you also get to see a lotus garden.
